C. – Raytheon Missile Systems of Louisville, Ky., has awarded General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products a $22 million contract to produce gun systems for the Phalanx Block 1B Close-In Weapon System and the Centurion Land-Based Phalanx Weapon System. General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products is a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).

The new 20mm semi-armor piercing, high-explosive incendiary cartridge matches the combat capability of the PGU-28 A/B SAPHEI while offering different safety features for air-to-ground and air-to-air missions.

  General Dynamics .50 Caliber Ammunition First to be Qualified for NATO Intercha

PETERSBURG, Fla. – General Dynamics announced today that its 12.7mm (.50 caliber) C162 Ball and C163 Tracer cartridges are qualified for NATO interoperability, according to the NATO International Panel on Standard Small Arms Ammunition. The designs meet the 12.7mm NATO Standardisation Agreement (STANAG) requirements, ensuring full interchangeability between all NATO troops using NATO-qualified weapons.

 General Dynamics Awarded $23 Million Contract for 155mm M795 Metal Parts Ammunit

PETERSBURG, Fla. – The U.S. Army Joint Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle Management Command (JM&L LCMC) at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., has awarded General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems a $23.8 million contract for the first year of a multiple year contract with a total potential value of $151.8 million for the production of M795 projectile metal parts. Work on this contract will be performed at the company’s Scranton Operations in Pennsylvania.

 BAE SYSTEMS RECEIVES $1.65 BILLION CONTRACT FOR FAMILY OF MEDIUM TACTICAL VEHICL

BAE Systems has been awarded $1.65 billion of a potential final contract value of $2.2 billion by the U.S. Army for up to 10,000 Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles. More than 48,000 FMTVs, such as the cargo variant shown above, are in use today by the U.S. Army.

SEALY, Texas - The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded BAE Systems a contract for the supply of up to 10,000 Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), worth up to US$2.2 billion, with US$1.65 billion of funding already agreed. The new contract includes a one year option for the procurement of 10,000 additional vehicles.
